Every student deserves the chance to shine. Reading and Math are Equity is a targeted academic skills development program designed for students in the Greater Madison area who are capable of more, but may not be reaching their full potential in foundational subjects.
The Stats
A student not reading at his or her grade level by the end of third grade is four times less likely to graduate high school on time.
Students from limited income families are six times less likely to graduate from high school.
High school drop outs are 63 times more likely to be incarcerated than college grads
Program Goals
With a focus on identifying and closing the specific gaps that are holding a student back, our goal is to transform academic struggles into confidence, creating independent, high-achieving learners.
