Entering its 28th consecutive year of operation, the African American History Academic Challenge (AAHAC) of Dane county will be staged by the 100 Black Men of Madison, Inc.  The AAHAC is an educational program designed to enhance the appreciation and study of African American history & culture to encourage pride & self-worth.  The AAHAC is conducted in all middle schools of the Madison Metropolitan School District, McFarland School District, and Verona Area School District.

The African American History Academic Challenge challenging and fun way for students to expand to garner and expand their knowledge of African American History in highly competitive local and national competitions.

Please see, the video below to view the 2019 Madison Metropolitan School District Competition. The winner of the local competition has gone on to win the National Championship of the African American History Academic Challenge seven times in twenty-five years.
