Entering it's 25th consecutive year of operation, the 100 Black Men of Madison African American History Academic Challenge (AAHAC) returns to school districts across Dane county. AAHAC is an educational program designed to enhance the appreciation and study of African American history.

 

For the first time ever, the AAHAC will open the program to multiple local competitions for middle school students in the Madison Metropolitan School District, McFarland School District, and Verona Area School District. AAHAC will continue to its program mission of encouraging pride, self-worth and an appreciation of the African American legacy and culture. The AAHAC is also a challenging and fun way for students to expand their knowledge of African American History in highly competitive local and national competitions.

 

Winners of their respective local competitions will compete in the inaugural State Capitol Regional Competition of April 12th. Winners of the Regional Competition will qualify to compete in the national History Bowl Competition at 100 Black Men of America 33rd Annual Conference in Las Vegas, June 12-16.
