Mentoring

Our Mission

To improve the quality of life within our communities and enhance educational and economic opportunities for all.

Overview

The objective of the mentoring activities of the 100 Black Men of Madison is to commit positive role models to engage and build up the lives of students in our community and ensure they are on a path to stay in school and graduate.

Given the desired outcome for our youth, we recognize the similarities shared by mentoring and education and strongly believe the two go hand-in-hand. Therefore, the programs we offer to students not only emphasize surrounding each student with a supportive group of adults, but also providing the resources necessary for our youth to succeed inside and outside their academic setting.

Take a Youth to Church Day

When it comes to guidance for African American communities and families, no institution has been more historically influential than the Church. Take a Youth to Church Day is an extended invitation to build our community in faith.
